Blue Light 415nm:
Blue LED light at a wavelength of 415nm is often used as a non-invasive treatment for acne. It works primarily by targeting the bacteria responsible for causing acne, specifically a type of bacteria called Propionibacterium acnes. Heres how it helps with acne:
- Bacterial Reduction: Blue LED light has been shown to have a bactericidal effect on P.acnes. It penetrates the skin and disrupts the bacteria’s ability to multiply, reducing the population of the bacteria that contribute to acne.
- Oil Production Regulation: while the primary mechanism is through bacterial reduction, blue LED light may also control oil production, which plays a role in the development of acne.
- Anti-Inflammatory: it helps to reduce inflammation in the skin, which is a common feature of acne. By decreasing inflammation, Blue LED Light can help minimise redness, swelling and discomfort associated with acne.

Red Light 633nm:
Blue LED light at a wavelength of 415nm is often used as a non-invasive treatment for acne. It works primarily by targeting the bacteria responsible for causing acne, specifically a type of bacteria called Propionibacterium acnes. Heres how it helps with acne:

Near Infrared Light (NIR) 830nm:
Regenerating Near Infrared light offers advanced rejuvenation benefits, calms redness and irritation and helps to reduce pigmentation. NIR Light has been shown to increase cell regeneration by up to 200%. It also has medical and therapeutic benefits:
- Advanced skin rejuvenation benefits: Infrared light at 830nm can stimulate cellular activity, including the production of collagen. This helps improve the overall health and integrity of the skin whilst also reducing fine lines and wrinkles.
- Manages skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis: Infrared light helps repair tissues by accelerating the healing of tissues, therefore supporting the skin’s repair process, making it valuable for wound healing. It also reduces inflammation in the skin, which is a common feature of both eczema and psoriasis. By decreasing inflammation, it can alleviate itching, redness and discomfort associated with these conditions.
- Reduces hyperpigmentation: Near Infrared light at 830nm can help reduce hyperpigmentation by targeting melanin, the pigment responsible for dark spots on the skin. The light energy is absorbed by the melanin, which helps break it down and reduce its appearance. This results in a more even skin tone and reduced hyperpigmentation.
- Pain relief and Muscle Recovery: Infrared light is often used for pain management. It can penetrate tissues and stimulate cellular activity, leading to improved circulation and reduced inflammation which contributes to pain relief in conditions such as arthritis, muscle strains and joint discomfort.
